About

I am a freelance brand consultant, copywriter and PR specialist. I have over ten years experience working with luxury brands, specialising in the travel and hospitality sector.

I’ve worked closely with some of the most innovative and interesting travel brands operating today, encompassing hotel groups, independent boutique properties, tour operators, tourism boards and leading heritage attractions.

From working on both UK and international briefs with clients, which have included Scott Dunn, Gleneagles, Singita, Eleven Experience, The Holkham Estate and The Newt in Somerset, my areas of expertise and contacts are diverse ranging across; wellness, F&B, adventure, safari, conservation, sustainability, skiing, family travel, cutting-edge design and heritage.

Using my broad knowledge and understanding of the industry, I create bespoke campaigns and offer strategic advice on making a brand more marketable, attract a new audience or significantly raise the profile through effective media relations, creative content, brand partnerships and social media both in the UK and internationally.

Background

Previously, I was a Senior Account Director at Perowne International in Mayfair, London for over five years. One of the UK’s most successful luxury travel consultancies, I oversaw the delivery of inspiring and commercially effective campaigns for over fifteen international and UK based clients.

My background is in the arts - I have a degree in ‘History of Art with Museum Studies’ from Leeds University. I started out my career gaining experience in the exhibitions and events department at ‘The V&A’ and on the culture & arts desk at ‘Four Communications’, before going onto working across a varied portfolio of lifestyle clients, including Bombay Sapphire, Jumeirah and The Athenaeum Hotel at ‘APR Communications’. I then spent time on F&B focused projects, launching Holborn Dining Room at Rosewood London, the first pop-up restaurant on the rooftop at Selfridges and the first gluten-free afternoon tea in London at The Marylebone Hotel before moving into travel.

I am passionate about elevating brands and have a global outlook, having travelled extensively through work. I’ve also travelled through East Africa, worked in the French Alps and lived in Florence. Over lockdown in 2020, my sister and I started an online puzzle company called NERANO of contemporary and stylish travel-themed jigsaw puzzles to help others unwind and embrace their downtime (away from screens!).
